“ I’m Mexican and very often when a place says “authentic Mexican food” I’m disappointed. NOT HERE. If you want to know what Mexican food tastes like in Mexico, this is the place. I had a tlayuda (typical dish from Oaxaca), tacos de suadero (this is basically brisket but the Mexican way — soft, juicy, understated and so rich), and my girlfriend had the quesabirrias (she’s not Mexican so she picked a crowd pleaser and wasn’t disappointed). This place is a kind of iconic sample of what I love the most about Mexico — it’s a small space, but they make it shine. The food is so much cheaper than anything on the Boardwalk, too. I’m not even from AC but I will be coming back just for these tacos! ”
